NLG enjoys the links it now has with other churches in England that have grown out of visits to Ghana. Read more about each hub below.
New Life Ghana is one of a small number of international projects that New Life Baptist Church support as part of its missions work. In this way NLG comes under the authority of New Life Baptist Church and its activities are bound by the church and the charities commission. The Northallerton hub is led by Liz Foster and is the centre of New Life Ghana in England.
Through Marilyn Bell, we have links with Darlington Baptist Church and the community there. Marilyn has been involved in New Life Ghana for many years, visiting regularly and leading team visits.
This hub is led by Rev Garry Hinchcliffe who is the Team Rector for the Knaresbrough Anglican Team. He has visited Ghana and has a heart particularly for the village of Honi. The Anglican community in Knaresborough have raised the money to support the bread oven project and the pre-school in Honi.
This hub is led by Rev Helen Edwards from Christ Church Norris Green. She and her husband Rev Andrew Edwards visited Ghana with NLG as part of a sabbatical and became involved personally and with the church. They raise money, give regular support to children with particular needs and are involved in leading team visits.
A committed group of New Life Ghana team members live in this town, located 7 miles from our main Northallerton hub. They have been instrumental in leading and running presentation events and raising awareness of New Life Ghana in the community.
Wath & Pickhill
The Wath and Pickhill Hub is led by Pete Snowdon, a lay preacher promoting NLG in this rural community. Pete has been on many team visits as our videographer and has an in depth knowledge of the project.
